Product Highlight: Leica M-P Typ 240

So there is a new update of the M Typ 240 camera (M 240), the new M-P Typ 240 (M-P 240).

The M-P comes with the Leica minimal and discreet design and a series of improvement over the basic model M 240. The M-P 240 has upgraded to a 2GB image buffer, and added with the sapphire glass anti-scratch display LCD screen. The camera also has the manual viewfinder frame-line selector, which exists in most of the M cameras before.

The M Edition 100 Special Edition includes the mechanical rangefinder film camera, the Leica M-A and the digital B&W rangefinder camera, Leica M Monochrom, together with 3 Summilux lenses, 28mm 35mm and 50mm.

The new Leica T is the new Leica series that embrace the good essence of the X series APS-C Compact with the interchangeable-lens ability.

Leica T Camera body is beautifully designed in partnership with Audi, and the body is machined down by a block of aluminium.

Product Highlight: Leica Vario-Elmar S30-90mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH

This is the first zoom lens for the Leica S system. In a medium format S camera, the focal lengths covered is equivalent to a 24-72mm on a 35mm camera.

The lens is very compact in size compared to the other prime lenses in the S system. It is almost in the same size as a stand Summarit-S 70mm F2.5 ASPH Lens.

The lens comprises 14 elements in 4 groups. 9 elements are with partial anomalous dispersion,  and 3 of them are fluoride lenses to reduce chromatic aberrations.

There are 2 aspherical surfaces on the rear element to minimize the monochromatic aberrations, and another on the front lens of the second group maintain consistent close-up image performance.

The successor to the S2/S2p, with the new naming system of Leica, it’s called the “Leica S” (Typ 006).

The new S is equipped with a new sensor board of better performance. ISO range is increased with better noise control.

It has also improved the buffer memory, autofocusing accuracy and added a GPS module for recording geographical positioning data in the images.
